Spiritual Psychology
Spiritual psychology is based on our duality as both a unique person, and an integrated part of the cosmos. It honors our individual needs, gifts, and path. It also honors our deep participation in the earth, universe, and Spirit.
Spiritual psychology is rooted in the recognition of our two basic selves: our ego self and our deeper, wiser self. It focuses on helping us to learn the gifts of both parts of us, and to allow both to function in ways that are most conducive to our harmony and growth.
Areas of Spiritual Psychology
As we expand our awareness of our individual path and our connection to the cosmos, we encounter the need to alter our behavior and belief systems.
In
Awakening Self, we focus on empowering ourselves to change our inner image, integrating our parts into a whole, and enhancing our connection to All.
The Children's Garden
(information for adults about children) presents ways to share nurturing experiences with the children in our lives. Through these experiences we learn and grow as our children grow. Techniques are presented to mold positive feelings in children that will continue to support them throughout their lives, and to heal our own childhood issues.
The Teen Years
provides ideas and insights for both teens and those around them helping to navigate through this challenging time of turmoil and rapid change. We examine the issues facing teenagers as they bridge the gap from childhood to adulthood, and provide concepts helpful for easing the difficulties and maximizing the growth of this period of life.
I
n the section on
Adult Children and Aging Parents, we look at ways to deepen our understanding of our journey with our parents. We offer suggestions to strengthen our multi-generational families and ways to increasingly appreciate our elders as valuable and involved family members. We offer practical solutions to some common intergenerational problems, and discuss the end-of-life transition and the healing it offers for everyone it touches.
