 Being in an apprenticeship program has been a completely new and major experience for me. It involved a major accepting and learning process about doing work without receiving financial compensation. I mention this first because this was possibly the most difficult concept of old thoughts and beliefs for me to overcome. Being on the Energy Balancing Team showed me a way to work and live with the give/receive cycle. During my time on the team I have never been want for anything! Team members so openly and completely accept me for who and where I am. This in and of itself can be somewhat disconcerting, especially if one is not used to this kind of treatment.

This has been a great lesson in my growth and learning to lovingly and unconditionally accept others for whom and where they are. Being on the team has helped me to look at my own skepticism of and doubt for things I don’t understand and to come to a place of acceptance and higher vision. Although a day of healing “work” seems to be about serving others who are ill, aiding them on their path to wellness, really, everything presented and experienced in the day is information for my life improvement and soul growth. Once to this point, I was hooked! And I’ll be the first to admit that it took quite a while…a couple of years and dropping out once, before I got to this level. As someone on the team often says, coming to a day of healing is like attending a seminar. It’s really more…so much more than that! I have been able to accept myself as a healer and a healing presence, taking this out into the world. I set my personal day, work and related events with a healing intent just like we do with clients. I close each day with a gentle review and letting go.

I don’t know if these words put into perspective how major the participation on the Energy Balancing Team has been for me. It has been a life transformation. It has been self-actualization and realization. It has been joyful and painful, hard work and play, it has been facing the deep, dark and the ugly only to find they are really beautiful gems and gifts. It continues to be about healing and deepening my relationship between self and spirit. It has been and continues to be a miracle.
